The App provides the official schedule and related information for the Delhi Arbitration Week event ("DAW").     2.1 Information you provide directly

    • Phone number. Collected at registration, used for account creation, verification (SMS/OTP), and account recovery.
    • Profile information. Display name and any optional profile details you add.
    • Support communications. Any information you send to our support team (messages, attachments).

    2.2 Information collected automatically

    • Device and technical information. Device type, operating system and version, app version, device identifiers (such as advertising ID or device ID), mobile network operator, time zone.
    • Usage and analytics. Features used, screens viewed, session times, interaction events, crash logs, and performance metrics that help us improve the App.
    • Network information. IP address and inferred, coarse location derived from IP only for analytics/routing purposes (we do not collect precise GPS location).
    • Push notification token. To deliver operational notifications (session reminders and essential event updates).

    2.3 Sensitive or special categories of data

    We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (for example, health, race, religion) through the App. If you include any special category information in profile fields or support messages, you consent to its processing for the purposes you submit it.

  3. How We Use Your Information

    We use personal information to:

    • create and manage your account and verify your phone number;
    • deliver the DAW schedule, session details, speaker/committee information, and other core App functionality;
    • send operational push notifications (session reminders, critical event updates);
    • provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
    • analyze and improve the App, fix bugs, and understand usage patterns;
    • detect, prevent, and address security or technical issues and fraud; and
    • comply with legal obligations.

    We do not use push notifications for marketing or promotional messaging.

  4. Sharing and Disclosure

    We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only as necessary and as described below:

    • Service providers and processors. We share data with third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification Service), crash reporting and analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics or similar), cloud storage/hosting, and messaging/sms providers. These providers process data only according to our instructions and subject to contractual safeguards.
    • Legal and safety requirements. When required by law, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
    • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction; personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users where required by law.
  5. Third-Party Links and SDKs

    The App may contain links to third-party websites or services and may include third-party SDKs. Third parties operate under their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices. If we integrate third-party SDKs that collect data, those SDKs’ data collection should be described in the App Store / Play Console disclosures.

  6. International Transfers

    Your data may be stored or processed in India or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where transfers occur from the EEA or other jurisdictions with specific transfer rules, we will apply appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or rely on another lawful mechanism for transfer.

  7. Data Retention

    We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy or as required by law. Typical retention periods:

    • Account information (including phone number): retained while your account is active and for up to 12 months after account deletion to prevent fraud and enforce our policies;
    • Usage and analytics data: retained for up to 24 months to analyze trends and improve the App;
    • Support communications: retained for up to 3 years after resolution;
    • Technical logs and crash reports: retained for up to 12 months for security and debugging.

Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed fully secure; if a security incident affecting your personal data occurs we will notify you and regulators where required by law.

    Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

    • access and obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you;
    • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
    • request deletion of personal data (account deletion);
    • object to or restrict certain processing activities where applicable;
    • request portability of personal data you provided in a structured, commonly used machine-readable format; and
    • withdraw consent where we rely on consent for processing.

    The App does not use browser cookies in the way a website does. The App relies on standard mobile analytics SDKs and device identifiers (advertising ID, device ID) for analytics and diagnostics.
